TGIF!!! Grand Circular Fireplace

Now THAT'S a fireplace!  Pretty impressive!

In a large room like this, you need something of a grand scale to be the focal point, and this fireplace is perfect! The windows are also a great focal point.  A big room can have several focal points, actually.

And with a room this big, it needs big structural pieces like the big beams, interior logs, and large furniture pieces. Larger rooms need larger statement pieces like these to balance out the size of the space, such as large pieces of furniture like sectionals.

The only thing that I don't like about this space is the color scheme.  Mustard yellow is not my favorite color, especially paired with burnt umber.  I am big on color, so this color scheme just isn't doing it for me.

Tree House Lover's Dream!!!

Oh wow!  What a cute place! This would be so much fun to stay in! A tree house lovers dream!
Adults and kids alike, this is the perfect little tree house for anyone big or small.

It wouldn't take too much to build either. The bridge might be a bit challenging, but maybe you can get one of those pre-made. And the rest could be hammered together over a weekend or two.

TGIF!!! Giant Geode Bathtub!!!

What a bathroom! That looks like a giant geode! I didn't know they had geodes that big.

I also don't know why they would put a large window in a bathroom...

But Happy TGIF anyway!!!

Nice Cabin Kitchen *

This is a nice cabin kitchen. It looks simple and functioning.  The track lighting is helpful to brighten up all the brown wood.  It's almost too much brown though.  It would look better if they at least used different colors of wood, to mix it up a little. Still pretty though.

I like the cabin kitchen accessories they have on the market now.  Kitchens can be a bit boring so anytime you can add a theme, some rustic accents, or some artwork,  it livens it up.

Unique Cabin in the Woods

This sure is a neat cabin.  I really like its modern and contemporary design.  The dark color is really a neat contrast to the woods surrounding it. The kitchen and living room is in the left side, and the bedroom is to the right.

This one might be a rental too, I can't remember. It's in a beautiful area though, surrounded by nature.

Rustic Cabin with Open Air Seating

Wow, this cabin has it all. It's rustic living at its finest.  It has a small kitchen flanked by a little dining area to the left, and open air seating to the right. There is some seating in what must be a living room, with what looks like glass pocket doors to the outside seating area. I don't know the location of this cabin, but if it's in a mountainous area, the outdoor seating area could only be used during the summer months, as the rest of the year it's either too cold or too much precipitation.

This cabin looks like it was made with a lot of recycled materials, but there's probably some new wood used as well.  There's an upstairs bedroom area which overlooks it all.  I wonder if the bedroom has big picture windows that overlook the forest...

I would love to live in a cabin like this one! It is perfect!  Great size, unique design and decor, nice outdoor surroundings, etc.  I really don't see anything I don't like about this cabin!!  If anyone knows the location, let me know!

Cabin Guest Room with Bunks*

Well, this is a fun way to get more beds into a space. Bunks are always a good choice if you have multiple guests on a regular basis, or for a kids room. I like these bunks because they blend in, by using matching wood that is used throughout the rest of the house.  I love the little sconce on the bottom bunk. Easy way to enjoy a good book before bedtime!

Sconces are a creative way to add unique lighting to your room. It's basically like having a lamp, but it's wired into your wall as a permanent fixture. They are helpful because they are usually to get light in a specific place, such as by your bed, or down a hallway.   Think about movie theaters, they have sconces all along their walls, which add lighting so you can see your way to your seat.

Basements are another good place for sconces, as there's usually not as much natural light. These would look great in a man cave as well!

Cabin Great Room with Bull Above Fireplace

This is a handsome room!! I love vaulted ceilings! They give rooms such a different feel. They make smaller rooms feel larger every time!  This room didn't really need to feel larger, because it's big enough already, but the higher ceilings make it more grand!  And what makes it really impressive, to me, is the contrasting white walls with the rich brown beams.  I might've used a slightly more off-white curtain, to match the floor rug better, but white is okay too.

I also like the furniture choices. The brown leather couches were purposely chosen in a slightly lighter color than the brown beams. And the black pieces were chosen to because they don't draw attention, but they also match the large bull accent piece over the fireplace, creating unity. The designer of this room knows their stuff!  I would hire them!

Secluded and Serene Glass Tiny House

Now, I don't know if I'd go for a place like this since there's no privacy, but it certainly is cute. I like the overall d...
