Beautiful Cabin Bathroom with Beams and Custom Rock Work

This is a beautiful cabin bathroom with beams and custom rock work.  I like the different styles of rock work that was used, because it keeps it interesting.  And the beams add a lot of rustic charm too.  I like the skylight because it adds a lot of natural light to the space.  Bathrooms can always use more light.
Did you notice the different colors of rocks used in the shower space?  There are darker ones used on the lower half of the shower walls. And it's done in an organic way, to mimic shapes in nature. And the upper half is done in rectangular stone, which contrasts the natural stones in the rest of the space.
Another interesting thing is the use of large rounded river rocks in the dry stack half wall dividing the shower from the rest of the bathroom.  They add a bit of uniqueness to the otherwise normal wall.

Building your own Log Cabin

Many people say that building your own log cabin can be challenging, even more so than a regular house.  From milling the logs to fitting them all together, it can be hard.  There are now companies that take the guess work and difficulty out of building a log cabin.  They put together log cabin kits and ship them to you.  They might be a bit generic, and some people think they're not worth the money, but if you are a no fuss kind of person, this may work for you.  And it may save you time, if that is a precious commodity to you. Some even offer custom log cabin kits. Some of the companies that I've come across are:

https://www.applog.com/
https://lazarusloghomes.com/log-cabin-kits-floor-plans-models-prices/

I have no affiliation with these companies, nor do I profit from your purchases.  I just wanted to share a bit of what I've found in my research.  There are many more on the market, but these are just a few.

Cabin Life, Polson, Montana

Little shout out to my peeps from Polson, MT.  This cabin is somewhere on the lake.  It was designed by Andersson Wise Architects.

It probably gets too much snow to live there during the winter, but look at it in the summer!  What a beauty!  Someday we will have a place like this on the lake.

Two Story Cabin With Tower Feature

Isn't this an interesting house?  I'm not sure why someone would decide to put this type of tower feature onto the side of their house, but I kinda dig it.  It resembles a grain tower, especially since it doesn't have any windows, except at the very top.  I do like it when it's all said and done, but I don't think I would've ever said to put a grain tower on the side of my home.  I guess it's thinking outside the box and it is original. Gotta give them that.

It  looks like it has a staircase going up to the second story on the back of the house, as if it's a separate entrance.  I love the large picture windows on that upper floor, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't have those on the lower level, unless the upper level is the primary floor where they spend most of their time.

Gotta love the fire pit!!

Overall, I like this home.  What do you think?

Modern Cabin Bathroom with Larch Wall Paper*

Isn't this a beautiful bathroom?  I love the use of materials here.  From the larch wall paper, to the light tan wood cabinets, to the pale grey brickwork on the opposing wall, this bathroom is simple yet elegant.  There is an eye for detail that most might overlook. Each item is well thought out and serves a purpose in the design. For example: the drawer pulls are a simple thin line and they match the lines on the upholstery and the larch wall paper.  The brown cabinets match the tile flooring.  The rustic wood used in the ceiling ties into the nature theme of the larch trees on the walls.

The only thing that I would change is that there is too much larch wall paper. I might have gone with one wall of it, but not multiple walls.  The rest of it works for me though.  I like the semi-monochromatic color scheme used. I might use a different chair next to the tub...it's somewhat out of place.  I might use more of a bench style seat in a similar color.  I saw some on this website that I like and they would go well with this space.

Hope you enjoyed this unique bathroom!

Double-Decker Modern Cabin Made With Shipping Containers

This is such a luxurious home! And to think that it's made out of shipping containers!  They definitely made great use of their materials and made a unique home.  This wonderful design has two stories, which is quite different for shipping containers.  I would love to have a home like this!  How about you?

Turquoise Cabin Retreat

Nothing like a little bit of turquoise to dress up a place!  This color really does liven up this space, don't you think?  Cabins tend to be a little on the dark side, with their dark wood and lack of windows, so anything you can do to brighten them up is a good thing.  Since they don't usually have a lot of windows, you need to do other things to brighten them up. With less light coming in you need to add interior lighting and implement lighter colors to balance out all the dark wood. Some people also add a light stain over the wood, such as a whitewash or lighter grey wash, which lightens up the color significantly.

TGIF!!! Grand Circular Fireplace

Now THAT'S a fireplace!  Pretty impressive!

In a large room like this, you need something of a grand scale to be the focal point, and this fireplace is perfect! The windows are also a great focal point.  A big room can have several focal points, actually.

And with a room this big, it needs big structural pieces like the big beams, interior logs, and large furniture pieces. Larger rooms need larger statement pieces like these to balance out the size of the space.

Tree House Lover's Dream!!!

Oh wow!  What a cute place! This would be so much fun to stay in! A tree house lovers dream!
Adults and kids alike, this is the perfect little tree house for anyone big or small.

It wouldn't take too much to build either. The bridge might be a bit challenging, but maybe you can get one of those pre-made. And the rest could be hammered together over a weekend or two.

TGIF!!! Giant Geode Bathtub!!!

What a bathroom! That looks like a giant geode! I didn't know they had geodes that big.

I also don't know why they would put a large window in a bathroom...

But Happy TGIF anyway!!!

Nice Cabin Kitchen *

This is a nice cabin kitchen. It looks simple and functioning.  The track lighting is helpful to brighten up all the brown wood.  It's almost too much brown though.  It would look better if they at least used different colors of wood, to mix it up a little. Still pretty though.

I like the cabin kitchen accessories they have on the market now.  Kitchens can be a bit boring so anytime you can add a theme, some rustic accents, or some artwork,  it livens it up.
